2023-06-22: Today I reworked my website after about a litte more than 10 years to give a sign of life again. A member of the German dubbing forum has motivated me to do so, since there seem to be still some people around who are interested in such old games as the ones of the Simon the Sorcerer series. I have now added the voice actors from Simon 2 (which I had actually already prepared in 2013, which I originally wanted to combine with my voice patch for the German version, but which is still delayed). I also added a review of Simon 4 and 5, also written in 2013 and not published yet. I have also updated and fixed the forum to make it run again. I would be happy if after all these years there were still people to discuss the games with. Actually Simon the Sorcerer Origins should have given some new spirit. But since there are no developer updates from Smallthing Studios since December 2022, it is to be feared that this game will meet the same fate as the other successors after 2009 and every fan project.
2013-02-18: Today I began building up the section "Discontinued fan projects". For a start there is the Simon the Sorcerer 1 Director's Cut from DREAMSOFTWARE. Unfortunately I have no more material from this and ask everybody who got something from back then to send it to me so that I can publish it here. I am also planning to create some reports about the following projects: As far as possible I try to sort it in a chronological order following the beginning of the project if the data available enables me to do so. I hope this is a reason to visit my site more often.
2012-10-01: Today on the World Vegan Day I have added a forum for Simon fans to discuss because the Simonology announced to take their website down. Unfortunately, this forum is not available from China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. At the beginning of 2013 Attila plans to take down his website which is very pitty. Especially for me the year 2012 was no failure as I learned new things about the dubbing of the German version and gained material for my German Simon 2 project. I will use Attila's goodbye in order to expand my website and hopefully I won't lose sight of the English area.
2012-09-23: I have finally changed the design for the website. Although black is the background colour you see the Simon logo on in the first part, it is not suited for reading. I also noticed that using frames is handy but first they are hard to handle with different screen resolutions and second there is trouble connected with them in the age of search engines. I have also reworked the complete Soundtrack for Simon1 so that it is better suited for use with ScummVM and I have removed some disturbing props in some of the tracks.
2006-02-27: The remaining music titles have been added. Now it's finally done! Every music title of Simon 1 played back with Sound Blaster Pro is now avaiable as download in the project area at project 1.
2006-02-21: Again some new music titles from Simon the Sorcerer (1) in the project number 1 section: Track 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24
2006-02-13: Finally some news! Now I found a method to record StS musics from my 486 computer with Sound Blaster Pro without the loud disturbing noise which I needed to filter in a "dirty" way before. This has motivated me so much that I did not only record the existing parts again, but I also recorded some other ones (now there are 9 files total). You can find it in the project area with project 1.
2005-04-11: Now I reuploaded my page to a new server and worked a bit on some areas. I made a project area with planned projects. You can find there also a little page with Simon the Sorcerer DOS music (played back on Sound Blaster). You are welcome to listen to them!
2004-02-24: Today (on my birthday by the way) I added the 'Problems with Simon 1 & 2' page and the 'Simon1/Short description' page.
2003-12-31: The English section is at the moment under construction, but you can find some interesting things at the German one already. However, as a special gift at the end of the year, I've made a calendar for 2004. You can find it at the download section. In the download file is a German and an English calender so that you can learn a bit of the other language by comparing. Wish you a happy new year! Feel free to send me mails. I am happy about any mail which is about my page. These pages were created for Internet Explorer 5. The website Best-StS.de.vu including all sub pages belongs to
